Sector 21and 25 - two sectors combine to make Noida's well known neighbourhood Jal Vayu Vihar. Built by Air Force Naval Housing Board (AFNHB) between 1984 and 1998, the original allottes were Air Force and Navy personals. The funding for the apartments was done through self finance schemes with every home buyer depositing about 10% of the expected price of the flat at the time of registration - balance to be paid in easy instalments. Spread on a total area of 25 acres, this sprawling neighbourhood  is an assortment of 2, 3, 4 and 5 BHK apartments, managed by Jal Vayu Vihar Sehkari Awas Samiti. There are enough markets within Jal Vayu Vihar to cater to all your needs, but it is the CSD canteen run by Air Force and Navy which is the most popular for residents belonging to the armed forces thanks to its concessional rates. The Society has its own community centre called JVCC (Jal Vayu Vihar Community Centre). For sports enthusiasts Noida Stadium, just a walking distance away from Sector 21, is where one plays football, cricket, badminton, etc.

Commuting is never a problem for Jal Vayu (Sector 21 and 25) residents as autos and rickshaws are always available outside the gates of the Society. There are several bus stops all around the Society. Private autos and rickshaws are always around most of the time within the Sector. And if Metro is your preferred mode of commuting, Sector 18 Metro station is close by.

Jal Vayu's maintenance is taken care of by the RWA, the office of which is in Sector 25. For the convenience of the residents, plumbers, electricians, gardeners, security guards, etc., are available within the premises.

Dairy, juice store, stationary - those little but vital needs of life can be availed at F and D Block market right inside Sector 21. Residents also visit Sector 25 market which is just outside gate no. 5. But it is the CSD canteen that is most visited for its concessional prices. The Spice mall, a great place for shopping, entertainment and dinning, is at a walking distance, and so is Atta market.

Resident’s parks their cars in front of their houses. Some have designated parking space.

Who guards those who guard the sea and air for us? Well, in Jal Vayu Vihar there are about 50 guards on duty round the clock who secure, among other areas, all the entrances of the Society. Digital cover in the form of CCTVs is also present in strategic locations. Some residents have their private security guards too.

There are several parks, gardens and green patches spread all across the Society, which work as perfect venues for sit-outs, ground games and other play activities for kids. The JVCC club in sector 21 is where Jal Vayu residents come to party and socialise. Facilities like swimming, community hall, temple and provisions for games like table tennis etc are all inside the complex. The Society also has an Yoga enthusiast group that organises daily Yoga sessions in P and Q Block park.
